Ayant grandi \u00e0 Kampala, en Ouganda, Benard s'est int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9paration d'instruments \u00e9lectriques cass\u00e9s d\u00e8s son plus jeune \u00e2ge. Pendant ses \u00e9tudes primaires et secondaires, les mati\u00e8res scientifiques lui sont venues naturellement et il a grandi avec une passion pour l'ing\u00e9nierie automobile. En tant que lyc\u00e9en, il a particip\u00e9 au concours national de math\u00e9matiques organis\u00e9 par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 math\u00e9matique de l'Ouganda dans le cadre de l'Olympiade math\u00e9matique internationale, et sa performance a \u00e9t\u00e9 exceptionnelle. Benard est devenu major dans son \u00e9cole apr\u00e8s avoir excell\u00e9 dans l'Ouganda Advanced Certificate of Education, poursuivant les math\u00e9matiques et la physique en tant que ses majors. Il s'est rendu \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 de Makerere o\u00f9 il a obtenu un baccalaur\u00e9at en sciences (physique) avec une sp\u00e9cialisation en math\u00e9matiques et en physique, faisant partie des cinq premiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans le cadre du programme de coop\u00e9ration \u00e0 AIMS S\u00e9n\u00e9gal (2017-2019, Mastercard Foundation Scholar), il a glan\u00e9 un stage \u00e0 Ensibuuko Tech Ltd Ouganda, o\u00f9 il a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 la construction d'une plateforme d'\u00e9valuation et de suivi des organisations coop\u00e9ratives d'\u00e9pargne et de cr\u00e9dit (SACCO) pour permettre aux entreprises institutions financi\u00e8res pour prendre des d\u00e9cisions d\u2019investissement cruciales. Laur\u00e9at du Mastercard Foundation Scholars Research Fund, Benard travaille actuellement en tant que Data Scientist chez Ensibuuko, o\u00f9 il utilise ses comp\u00e9tences pour promouvoir l'inclusion financi\u00e8re des populations des zones rurales et \u00e9loign\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n

Growing up in Kampala, Uganda, Benard exhibited interests in repairing broken electrical instruments at a tender age. While in primary and high school, science subjects came naturally to him, and he grew up with a passion for automotive engineering. As a high school junior, he participated in the National Mathematics contest organized by the Uganda Mathematical Society under the International Mathematical Olympiad, and his performance was outstanding. Benard emerged valedictorian at his school after excelling in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education pursuing Mathematics and Physics as his majors. He proceeded to Makerere University where earned a Bachelor of Sciences (physical) with Education specializing in mathematics and physics, emerging among the top five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Co-op program at AIMS Senegal (2017-2019, Mastercard Foundation Scholar), he gleaned an internship at Ensibuuko Tech Ltd Uganda, where he worked on building a Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCO) evaluation and monitoring platform to enable corporate financial institutions to make crucial investment decisions.
